SMS & Messaging Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 7, 2026

This policy describes how TEKSwork ("we," "us"), operator of the OnMapIt dispatch platform, collects and uses mobile phone numbers in connection with SMS text-message notifications sent by the platform.

What messages we send

OnMapIt sends automated after-hours service dispatch notifications to the on-call employees of the businesses that use the platform. Messages contain service-call details (such as the caller's name, callback number, site, and issue) and a link to acknowledge the notification.

Who receives messages and how they opt in

Message recipients are exclusively employees of the businesses that use the platform. Messaging consent is collected separately from employment and from on-call scheduling: each employee is asked to complete a standalone SMS opt-in form on which they voluntarily agree to receive automated dispatch notification texts. Consenting to receive text messages is optional and is not a condition of employment, of being on the on-call rotation, or of receiving service — employees who decline SMS can still be reached for dispatch by phone call. Phone numbers are added manually by an authorized administrator only after a signed opt-in form is received. There is no public sign-up; the general public cannot opt in to these messages.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies with after-hours service call volume — typically 0–5 messages per on-call shift. Message and data rates may apply.

How we use and share phone numbers

Mobile phone numbers collected for text messaging are used solely to deliver the dispatch notifications described above. We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Numbers are shared only with our SMS delivery provider (Twilio) as necessary to transmit the messages.

Opting out

Recipients can stop receiving messages at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by asking their administrator to disable SMS notifications for their number. Opting out of text messages does not remove an employee from the on-call rotation or affect their employment — dispatch can still be made by phone call. Reply HELP for help.

Data retention & security

Phone numbers and message logs are retained only as long as needed for dispatch operations and record-keeping, and are protected by industry-standard access controls.
